Henrico to conduct emergency-response exercise Aug. 3

Henrico County public safety agencies will conduct an emergency-response exercise Saturday, Aug. 3 to assess their preparedness for an actual emergency.

The full-scale drill is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Courts Building, 4301 E. Parham Road.

During the exercise, the public may notice a gathering of police and other emergency personnel as well as vehicles and equipment at or near the Courts Building.

A portion of Prince Henry Drive, by the Courts Building, will be closed to traffic temporarily. Jail visitation and access to the magistrate’s office will be available as usual.

Various departments and agencies will participate, including the Police Division, Division of Fire, Sheriff’s Office, General District Court Clerk’s Office, Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, Fire Marshal’s Office and Security.
