Henrico to collect Valentine’s Day cards to support older residents for fifth-annual Spread the Love event

Henrico County is collecting homemade Valentine’s Day cards for the fifth-annual Spread the Love event.

Schools, faith-based organizations, social groups and residents are encouraged to participate by creating cards for local older adults living in a nursing home or assisted living facility. Cards should be generic and include an uplifting message to celebrate the Valentine’s Day season.

Cards can be dropped off at three locations: the Henrico Government Center lobby at 4301 E. Parham Road, the Public Safety Building lobby at 7721 E. Parham Road and the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center at 1440 N. Laburnum Avenue. Cards can also be mailed to:

Henrico EngAGE
Attn: Ashlee Giles
PO Box 90775
Henrico, VA 23273

Cards must be received by Thursday, Feb. 6 to be included in the distribution.

For more information, contact the advocate for the aging at [email protected] or (804) 501-5065. To learn more about resources for older residents, visit Henrico’s EngAGE website.
