Candidates needed to help residents access food, medical and financial benefits
The Henrico County Department of Social Services will hold a recruitment event Tuesday, Aug. 18, for job seekers interested in working as a human services specialist.
Social Services plans to hire as many as 20 specialists, also known as eligibility workers, to help qualifying residents access benefits, including food, medical and financial assistance.
The recruitment event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Henrico Training Center, 7701 E. Parham Road. It will include a presentation and an opportunity to ask questions. Candidates are encouraged to bring their résumé and will be able to participate in screening interviews. Selected candidates will be scheduled for full interviews.
Social Services is seeking individuals with education and/or experience in the human services field. Ideal candidates should have strong skills in customer service, time management and teamwork. The human services specialist position offers a salary range of $58,711 to $108,002 at level III and $64,483 to $118,619 at level IV.
