The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase pedestrian safety. The following improvements will be constructed, including: 

• ​​The installation of self-sustaining light fixtures to light the Virginia Capital Trail from the Richmond City limits south for approximately 1,100-ft to Old Delaware Street.​

Estimated Schedule:

Design is complete.  Right-of-way acquisition is not anticipated. Utility relocation is not anticipated. Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin ​by the 1st Quarter of 2025​.  Construction is anticipated to begin ​by the 2nd Quarter of 2025.
