Darbytown Road & Doran Road Roundabout

Magisterial District:   Varina  

The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase pedestrian access and connectivity. The following improvements will be constructed, including: 

• Realign Doran Road to tie into Darbytown across from Henry Ward Blvd. 
• Construct a roundabout at the new Doran Road / Darbytown Road / Henry Ward Blvd intersection.
• Construct sidewalk along Doran and Darbytown Road.

Estimated Schedule

• Design is underway.
• Right-of-way acquisition is anticipated to begin 3rd Quarter, 2026.  
• Utility relocation is anticipated to begin in 2027. 
• Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin in 2027.
• Construction is anticipated to begin 2028. 

Progress to Date

There was a Public Information Meeting for the Darbytown Road & Doran Road Roundabout project on November 18, 2025 from 5:30pm – 7:00pm at Dorey Park – Henricus Room 2999 Darbytown Road Henrico, VA 23231

A comment response survey was able to be accessed until December 18th, 2025.
