Project Description
The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase pedestrian access and connectivity. The following improvements will be constructed, including:
- Realign Doran Road to tie into Darbytown across from Henry Ward Blvd.
- Construct a roundabout at the new Doran Road / Darbytown Road / Henry Ward Blvd intersection.
- Construct sidewalks along Doran and Darbytown Road.
Estimated Schedule
- Design is underway.
- Right-of-way acquisition is anticipated to begin 3rd Quarter, 2026.
- Utility relocation is anticipated to begin in 2027.
- Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin in 2027.
- Construction is anticipated to begin 2028.

There was a Public Information Meeting for the Darbytown Road & Doran Road Roundabout project on November 18, 2025 from 5:30pm – 7:00pm at Dorey Park – Henricus Room 2999 Darbytown Road Henrico, VA 23231
A comment response survey was able to be accessed until December 18th, 2025.
