The project consists of construction of a new 11,000 SF, one-story, 3-bay drive through firehouse for Henrico County, Virginia. The work will include site/civil, general construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and specialty systems. The new firehouse generally consisting of concrete footings and slab on grade, structural systems of reinforced CMU bearing walls, precast concrete floor plank, cold-formed metal studs, steel columns and trusses; roof framing, exterior veneer masonry, fiber cement siding, metal and TPO roofing, glazed aluminum-framed storefront, entrances, windows and both folding and sectional garage doors; acoustical framed gypsum board partitions, assemblies, and shaft walls; architectural woodwork; ceramic floor tile, acoustical ceilings, other interior finishes and specialties; fire station equipment and specialties; fire-protection, mechanical, and electrical, and communications systems. The 4.37-acre site generally consists of parking lots, concrete and asphalt driveways, a detached shop building, dumpster and mechanical enclosures, bio retention structures and landscaping. The project is designed to meet LEED® Silver Certification.
