The project consists of construction of a new 13,850 SF, one-story + mezzanine, 4-bay drive through firehouse for Henrico County, Virginia. The Work includes site/civil, general construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and specialty systems. The new firehouse generally consists of concrete footings and slab on grade, structural systems of reinforced CMU bearing walls, precast concrete floor plank, cold-formed metal studs, steel columns and trusses; roof framing, exterior veneer masonry, metal panel rain screen systems, metal and SBS modified bitumen roofing, glazed aluminum-framed storefront, entrances, windows and both folding and sectional garage doors; acoustical framed gypsum board partitions, assemblies, and shaft walls; architectural woodwork; ceramic floor tile, acoustical ceilings, other interior finishes and specialties; fire station equipment and specialties; fire-protection, mechanical, and electrical, and communications systems. The project is designed to meet LEED® Silver Certification under version 4.
The project site includes several County owned properties along Willis Road. Proposed sitework generally consists of parking lots, concrete and asphalt driveways, a detached storage building, dumpster and mechanical enclosures, emergency generator, fencing, precast masonry screen wall, emergency traffic light, and landscaping.
