The County of Henrico will be constructing sidewalk along E. Laburnum Avenue. The following improvements will be constructed, including:

  • Approximately 1,450 feet of 5-foot sidewalk with ADA ramps on the north side of E. Laburnum Avenue between Mechanicsville Turnpike (Route 360) and Bolling Road..
  • The installation of approximately 1,200 feet of curb and gutter and associated drainage structures along this road segment.
  • Install transit amenities (concrete pad and bench) at each of the two GRTC bus stop locations.

Estimated Schedule

  • Design began in May 2018. 
  • Right-of-way acquisition was completed March 2021. 
  • Utility relocation was completed July 2021. 
  • Advertisement for construction was September 2021. 
  • Construction is anticipated to begin June 2022. 
  • Project completion is anticipated for November 2022.

Progress to Date

  • Posted notice of willingness to hold a public hearing on July 2019. No comments were received.
