Project Description

The purpose of this study is to identify potential design concepts for continuous, dedicated bicycle facilities along Lauderdale Drive from Patterson Avenue to John Rolfe Parkway. There is a potential that the facilities could feasibly be extended to Ridgefield Parkway for a total length of 2.5 miles.

Existing Lauderdale Drive will be evaluated for modifications to its various cross sections along the corridor to allow for the new installation of new facilities through combination of utilization of existing pavement and construction of new or improved facilities.

Traffic counts at key intersections will be gathered when school resumes in Fall 2026. Feasibility studies for bike lanes will follow.
