Project Description:

The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase pedestrian access and connectivity. The following improvements will be constructed, including:

  • Sidewalk along the northbound Staples Mill Road from the north corner of Courtney Road to the existing sidewalk at the north corner of the Henrico County Glen Allen Library Parcel
  • Sidewalk along southbound Staples Mill Road connecting the existing sidewalks at the south corner of the Glen Allen High School parcel to the sidewalk along Sharp’s Way

Estimated Schedule

  • Design is underway.
  • Right-of-way acquisition is anticipated to begin 2027.
  • Utility relocation is anticipated to begin 2028.
  • Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin 2029.
  • Construction is anticipated to begin 2029.
