The annual 3-C Report, produced by the Department of Planning, provides population estimates and acreage by land use categories in the county. The data is reported by Traffic Analysis Zones (TAZs). The report is required by federal legislation (Federal Highway Act of 1962) as a condition for receiving federal funds in urbanized areas (areas with a population of 50,000 or more).
