Student Government Day
On May 8, 1958, the Kiwanis Club of North Richmond sponsored the first Student Government Day in Henrico County. Since then, Student Government Day has given students from each of our high schools a day to work alongside and learn from the county’s government and school officials. Student Government Day is being enhanced beginning in fall 2022. While it will culminate with a spring event to celebrate and share what the participants have learned, the program is designed to provide sustained learning and hands-on experiences through occasional touch points that begin in the fall. This allows students to learn about the work of government and school leaders through real life situations.
Student Government Day will be Wednesday April 9, 2025 from 8:30am – 3:00pm
