Dan Schmitt first was elected to represent the Brookland Magisterial District in November 2018 and has been reelected twice. He served as Board chair in 2021. He is serving his second full term as Brookland supervisor.
The founder and president of event-staffing company RMC Events, Mr. Schmitt serves on the boards of directors for Richmond Region Tourism, Sports Backers, Sportable and the Greater Richmond Transit Company. He also has served a number of years on the board of directors for the Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association, including as president.
Mr. Schmitt earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond.
