Speed cameras would be placed at all nine high schools and at Tuckahoe and Fairfield middle schools. The cameras would be record violations for speeding only when the yellow lights on the school zone sign are flashing.
The Board also voted to advertise a Sept. 8 public hearing on a proposed ordinance that would allow cameras to enforce speed limits at school crossing zones.
