Injured or Orphaned Wildlife
If a wild animal has been injured or truly orphaned, do not take matters into your own hands. For information on what to do with injured and/or orphaned wildlife go to dwr.virginia.gov/wildlife/injured/
You may locate a licensed wildlife rehabilitator by calling the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (VDWR) dispatch at 804-367-1258 (24 hours, 7 days a week). You will also find a list of wildlife rehabilitators on the VDWR website.
