Henrico to hold Energy Fair on Oct. 19

Henrico County will hold a free energy fair Friday, Oct. 19 to promote clean energy and sustainability.

The Fall 2018 Henrico County Energy Fair, which is open to the public, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the courtyard at the Henrico County Government Center, 4301 E. Parham Road.

Scheduled in October in conjunction with Energy Efficiency Month, the fair will feature vendors promoting energy efficiency, solar power, eco-friendly materials, recycling and electric vehicles. Refreshments and giveaways, including rechargeable power banks, will be available.

Tech for Troops will be collecting used electronics for refurbishment and donation to military veterans and their families. Items such as laptops, monitors, tablets, cellphones, keyboards and mice will be accepted regardless of their condition. For details, go to techfortroops.org.
