Henrico Sheriff’s Office job fair, same-day interviews set for March 13 

County has immediate openings for deputies, jailors; candidates could begin training as soon as May 

The Henrico County Sheriff’s Office will host a job fair and on-the-spot interviews from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 13 at the Public Safety Training Center, 7701 E. Parham Road.  

The office is seeking to fill positions for deputies and jailors. Candidates must be 21 or older for deputies and 18-20 for jailors. Annual salaries for the positions are $56,265 and $53,688, respectively.  

Law enforcement professionals who already are state-certified jailors and deputies are eligible to begin the county’s hiring process immediately. Individuals with no prior experience could begin the 13-week basic deputy recruit academy as soon as May. The academy is a paid opportunity. 

Walk-ins are welcome at the job fair, but prospective candidates are encouraged to submit an RSVP to expedite the interviewing and hiring process.
