The Keep Henrico Beautiful Committee is accepting applications for its annual awards program to recognize properties that are beautifully landscaped and highlight sustainable practices. Applications for the residential Land Lover Award and the commercial Clean Business Award are accepted online and due by April 30.
Now celebrating its 30th year, this program honors one recipient of a Land Lover Award from each magisterial district and a countywide winner of the Clean Business Award.
The awards recognize residential and business properties that are attractively landscaped, well-maintained and litter-free. In addition, sustainable and/or conservation practices must be evident. Past recipients have employed a variety of these practices, including native plantings, pollinator plants, water conservation, composting and more. Nominees must participate in an ongoing recycling program, such as composting, curbside pickup or drop-off service, to be eligible.
