Build Henrico, the county’s online system for filing permits and reporting various community concerns, is getting easier to access.
Beginning April 16, users will no longer have to maintain a password and provide it whenever they log into their accounts. Instead, they will sign in each time using a one-time passcode that is sent to their email address. Users will need to set up their logins the first time they use the system’s new format.
Launched in 2021, Build Henrico provides a free portal for contractors and others in the development community to apply for and file permits, upload plans and conduct other business. Residents can use the system to report various concerns involving public and private property, including tall grass and weeds, inoperable vehicles, graffiti and vacant buildings.
