Henrico County, along with partners in the city of Richmond and counties of Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover and Powhatan, has lifted its request for voluntary water conservation measures.
This decision is effective today and based on current flows in the James River being above conservation triggers in accordance with Richmond’s James River Regional Flow Management Plan. The request for voluntary conservation had been in place since July 1.
Though the voluntary water conservation measures are lifted and flows in the James River are stable, water conservation should be a regular practice for all residents and businesses. Henrico and its partners will continue to monitor river flows and other conditions. If conditions worsen, the call for voluntary conservation measures will be reissued.
