HEART Goes Biking

In celebration of National Bike Month in May, grab your bicycle, put on your helmet and hit the road.

Henrico County encourages residents to use non-motorized transportation like bicycles to promote a healthier community and reduce the negative impact of fossil fuels on air quality.

To make cycling more convenient, HEART has installed 16 heart-shaped bike racks at parks, libraries and other county government facilities across Henrico. When you ride to these locations, you can now secure your bike with peace of mind, knowing it will be safe and you are doing your part to help the environment.

The design of the bike racks incorporates the shape and inner plant life of the HEART logo. The color helps with visibility and serves as a reminder to be greener with natural resources.

The bike racks can be found at locations including Twin Hickory Area Library, Deep Run Park, Dorey Park, Spring Park, a GRTC bus stop near the Human Services Building, the L.A. Harris, Jr. Courts Building and both government centers.

So, get on the road, be safe and go green!
