The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase pedestrian access and connectivity. The following improvements will be constructed, including:

  • Continuous sidewalk along the eastern side of Airport Drive from Airport Place to East Washington Street.

Estimated Schedule: 

  • Design is underway.
  • Right-of-way acquisition is underway.
  • Utility relocation was completed in the 2nd quarter of 2026.
  • Advertisement for construction is anticipated in the 3rd quarter of 2026.
  • Construction is anticipated to begin in the 3rd quarter of 2026.
