E. Laburnum Ave Sidewalk, Phase II

The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase pedestrian access and connectivity. The following improvements will be constructed, including: 

• Approximately 450-ft of sidewalk on the north and south sides of E. Laburnum Avenue between Mechanicsville Turnpike and Adams Road. 
• Signalized pedestrian crossing.
• Upgrades to two existing GRTC transit stops.

Estimated Schedule: (Month Year)

Design is underway.  Right-of-way acquisition is anticipated to begin ​in the 2nd quarter of 2024​.  Utility relocation is anticipated to begin ​in the 4th quarter of 2024​.  Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin ​in 2025​.  Construction is anticipated to begin ​in 2025​.
