E. Laburnum Pedestrian Improvements​

Project Description:

The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase pedestrian access and connectivity. The following improvements will be constructed, including:

• Approximately 1,550-ft of sidewalk on the north side of E. Laburnum Avenue between Austin Avenue and Adams Road​.
• Upgrades to one existing GRTC transit stop.
• Crosswalk Enhancements at E. Laburnum Ave and Austin Ave Intersection.
• Additional Crosswalks at Adams Road.

Estimated Schedule: (Month Year)

• Design is underway​.
• Right-of-way acquisition is underway.
• Utility relocation is anticipated to begin in ​1st Quarter, 2026​.
• Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin in 3rd Quarter, ​2026​.
• Construction is anticipated to begin in 4th Quarter, ​2026​.
