Hilliard Road Safety & Mobility Improvements

Magisterial District:   Fairfield  

The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase bicycle and pedestrian access along with improving safety and connectivity. The following improvements will be constructed, including:

• The restriping of Hilliard Road from Lakeside Avenue to Brook Road to include protected bicycle lanes in both eastbound and westbound lanes.
• Pedestrian safety enhancements at the crossing of the proposed Fall Line Trail.

Estimated Schedule:

• Design is complete.
• Right-of-way acquisition is not anticipated.
• Utility relocation is not anticipated.
• Advertisement for construction is anticipated for 1st Quarter, 2026.
• Construction is anticipated to begin 2nd Quarter, 2026.
