Project Description
The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase pedestrian access and connectivity. The following improvements will be constructed Monument Avenue from Bremo Road to Treboy Avenue, including:
- Approximately 2,200 linear feet of new sidewalk along the southern side of Monument Avenue from Bremo Road to Treboy Avenue
- Associated ADA ramps
- Upgrades to transit stop within project limits
- Pedestrian signals and crossings.
Estimated Schedule:
- Design is underway.
- Right-of-way acquisition is underway.
- Utility relocation is complete.
- Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin 4th Quarter, 2026.
- Construction is anticipated to begin in 2027.
Progress to Date
- A Public Hearing was held on October 9, 2024 at Henrico Rec & Parks, 6800 Staples Mill Rd from 5:30-7 PM.
