Nuckols Trail, Phase 2

The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase pedestrian access and connectivity. The following improvements will be constructed, including: 

• ​​ A new, a 12-foot-wide multi-use trail that is approximately 1 mile in length that includes a pedestrian bridge over the Meredith Branch tributary.   

• ​This segment will begin at Nuckols Trail, Phase 1 at Broad Meadows Road and terminate at Francistown Road. 

• ​Approximately 0.4 miles of the trail will be on existing Nuckols Road while 0.6 miles will follow the existing alignment off road.   

 

Estimated Schedule: (Month Year)

Design is anticipated to begin ​1st Quarter, 2025.​  Right-of-way acquisition is not anticipated.   Utility relocation is anticipated to begin ​2nd Quarter, 2027.​  Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin ​3rd Quarter, 2027.​  Construction is anticipated to begin ​1st Quarter, 2028.​
