Send or Receive Money for an Inmate
ACCEPTANCE AND RELEASE OF PERSONAL MONEY
Inmate funds can be used for Commissary, Work Release, GPS Monitoring, Home Incarceration and ViaPath Phones and Tablets. Funds can be transferred through an app, by phone, or in person using the Keefe Kiosk at the jail. Inmates also have the option to transfer funds from their personal account into ViaPath for phone, tablet, and video time.
Funds can be deposited into an inmate’s account via the following methods:
- In-person using the Keefe kiosk

- Via the app on Apple Store or Google play
- By mail
IN-PERSON DEPOSIT
Only certified checks and money orders are accepted at Henrico County Sheriff’s Office Jail West, 4317 East Parham Road from 7:30 – 3:30 Monday- Friday, and Henrico County Regional Jail East 17320 New Kent Highway from 8:00 – 3:45 Monday – Friday. Money is receipted and credited to the inmate’s account at the time of deposit.
MONEY RECEIVED THROUGH MAIL
- Only certified checks and money orders are accepted through the mail.
- Direct any mail to inmates at Henrico County Sheriff’s Office P.O. Box 3368 Henrico, VA 23228.
Money orders and certified checks are to be addressed in the inmate’s commitment name (to include one of the following: middle name, prisoner identification number, social security number, or date of birth).
MONEY AUTHORIZED FOR RELEASE
An inmate may request funds to be released from his personal account by submitting the proper request “Authorization to Release Money/Property.” This form must be submitted five (5) working days before the desired pick-up. Money is only released Monday – Friday, exception of holidays from 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM. A check will only be released to the payee after presenting picture identification.
