Henrico releases ‘request for interest’ for arena-anchored mixed-use development at Best Products Reimagined site 

The Henrico Economic Development Authority issued a “request for interest” (RFI) solicitation for a mixed-use development on property that once served as headquarters for the retail chain Best Products, along interstates 95 and 295 and East Parham Road. Master developers, arena operators and other prospective partners will have until Monday, July 28, to respond formally with submissions of a “statement of interest” in the development. From ‘great lighting’ to ‘new arena smell,’ Henrico Sports & Events Center shines for A-10 Media Day

Atlantic 10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade said she was impressed by the clean, fresh aroma when she stepped inside the new Henrico Sports & Events Center.

It’s almost like when you say, a new car smell. Well, this is a new arena smell, and it’s really nice, McGlade said Thursday in an interview with ESPN’s Angel Gray at the conference’s Media Day event.
