Board to hold special meeting Thursday for reapportionment vote
The Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, in the Government Center Board Room, 4301 E. Parham Road, to vote on a reapportionment plan for the county’s magisterial districts.
The meeting is open to the public; individuals who attend are required to wear a face covering. The meeting also can be viewed via livestream on the county website and on the WebEx platform. Links are available at https://henrico.gov/supervisors/next-meeting/.

Road will link new portion of Woodman with Glover Park
A ½-mile road planned for construction next year will be named Lambert Way in honor of the life and service of the late Donald L. Lambert Jr., a captain with the Henrico County Police Division who was killed in a hit-and-run crash early this year.
Board of Supervisors Chairman Dan Schmitt announced the naming in a ceremony Wednesday along where Woodman Road is being extended northeastward from Greenwood Road.

Henrico County to begin 2021-22 leaf collection efforts week of Nov. 8
Henrico County will begin providing annual leaf-collection services Monday, Nov. 8, with both free and paid options available for county residents.
Free collection of bagged leaves is scheduled through Feb. 12. Crews will work week to week in five zones; each zone will receive two pickups over the course of the program. Residents living outside these areas can order free pickup of bagged leaves by calling (804) 727-8770.
