Fall Line Trail – Lakeside Community Trail Phase 1, 2, and 3

Henrico County is proposing the construction of a new trail in the Lakeside community. The trail will be a 12-foot-wide multi-use trail that is approximately 2 miles in length and will include several pedestrian bridges over Upham Brook tributary. The trail is part of the Fall Line Trail that runs from Ashland to Petersburg. The Lakeside trail will provide a connection from Spring Park to Hilliard Road in the Lakeside community. The County has been awarded Transportation Alternatives grant funding to construct this trail.
The trail is being designed in three phases and they are separated as follows:
- Lakeside Phase 1 – Spring Park to Dumbarton Rd – 3,200 linear feet

- On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, the Henrico County Department of Public Works held a public information meeting from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. Materials from the meeting can be found in the Documents section below.
- On Thursday, September 19, 2019 the Henrico County Department of Public Works held a Citizen Information Meeting from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. to discuss this project.
