Parham Road Bridge Repairs CSX Overpass

The County of Henrico will be conducting bridge rehabilitation activities on the Parham Road Bridge crossing over CSX railroad tracks located between Ackley Avenue and Staples Mill Road. The following improvements will be constructed, including:

• Repair and rehabilitation of the bridge superstructure, including bearing replacement.
• Repair and rehabilitation of the bridge deck, including guardrail system improvements.
• Concrete surface penetrant sealing of concrete elements.
• Protective painting of steel superstructure elements.

 

Estimated Schedule

• Design is completed.
• Right-of-way acquisition is completed.
• Utility relocation is completed.
• Advertisement for construction is completed.
• Construction is anticipated to begin in 1st Quarter, 2026.
• Project completion 2027.
