Project Description: The overall Tuckahoe Creek Park Project consists of construction of a neighborhood park on a section of the existing Tuckahoe Creek Park property. The boardwalk system will provide an ADA accessible access to the Tuckahoe Creek area for passive recreation activities such as walking, fishing, overlooks, and experiencing nature. The phase I and II construction contracts are developing sections as shown on the Tuckahoe Creek Park Master Plan between the end of Ridgefield Parkway and Old Coach Lane.
Phase II: The Tuckahoe Creek Park Phase II project will provide an extension to the Tuckahoe Creek Park Phase I (525 linear feet) boardwalk system project was awarded by the BOS in October 2015 and completed by summer 2016. This Phase II construction project will provide an additional 1,079 linear feet of boardwalk within the park from the end of the completed Phase I boardwalk project to a location near the end of Old Coach Lane. This second phase boardwalk system will complete a pedestrian link from the end of Ridgefield Parkway to Old Coach Lane within Tuckahoe Creek.
The work consists of construction of a boardwalk system that will be approximately 1,079 linear foot long consisting of 733 linear feet of elevated boardwalk plus an additional 346 linear feet of asphalt trail system.
