Community Resource Guide

This guide is designed to provide solutions to crime and quality-of-life concerns in your community. Each chapter lists steps to help you resolve common community issues and complaints, such as noise, tall grass and weeds, trash, etc.


Each topic covered in this guide will include all or some of the following information:

To better understand how law enforcement officers address problems, the laws that govern their actions have been cited. The chapter, article, and section numbers address titles to the Henrico County Municipal Code and/or the Code of Virginia.

When necessary, additional information may be provided, such as definitions of terms, a brief synopsis of the laws cited, or guidance from law enforcement relevant to the topic. This information is included to assist in selecting the proper and most effective solution at the time.

As many solutions as possible are offered for each topic with the hope that at least one will fit the situation at the time.
