Internal Audit Reports on County Operations

Third-Party Audit Reports: Internal Audit has also assisted the County’s external auditor. The reports issued by the external firms [i.e., the Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFR) and Single Audit and APA Compliance Reports] are found on the Accounting Division page. Other third-party audit reports may also be found in Public Data or as described in the “External Audits” section on the Schools website.

On May 13, 1998, the County’s Audit Committee agreed to post a listing of the issued General Government Internal Audit Reports on this site. Internal Audit has issued the below reports to County leadership and has reviewed them with the General Government’s Audit Committee. Records are retained in accordance with the Virginia Public Records Act and items are periodically removed from this listing accordingly.

Certain audits are redacted due to content exempt from public disclosure under Virginia’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The applicable exemption(s) are noted at the top of any report with redactions.
