T-Mobile is expanding and relocating its Henrico County operations, adding significantly to its local workforce and investing millions to renovate a vacant building in eastern Henrico.
Gov. Ralph Northam’s office announced Friday that the wireless carrier company is planning to move its customer experience center, currently located on Westgate Parkway, to the former Sam’s Club facility in the White Oak Village shopping center on South Laburnum Avenue.
T-Mobile will invest $30 million to improve the building and will create 500 new, full-time jobs — increasing total employment at the customer experience center to 1,300 positions. The company hopes to move into the new center later this fall.
The Henrico Economic Development Authority worked with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership on the effort. Learn more about the project from Henrico EDA.
