National Energy Awareness Month

October is National Energy Awareness Month! Energy Awareness Month is a national effort to raise awareness about energy conservation and energy efficiency.

Energy conservation measures cost nothing and work by changing your behavior. Turning off the lights when you leave a room is an example of energy conservation. Energy efficiency measures usually cost money as they involve making improvements or bigger changes to use less energy. Switching from incandescent lightbulbs to LED lightbulbs is an example of an energy efficiency measure.

Check out the Sustainability Division’s webpage to learn more about how you can conserve energy and be more energy efficient!
