Bagged Leaf Collection Begins in November

Bagged leaf collection is for the 2026-27 will begin on November 9. See below for the pickup dates for each area.

2026 – 2027 Bagged Leaf Schedule

Curbside bagged leaf pickup will begin on November 9, 2026 and continue through February 7, 2026.  Department of Public Utilities’ staff will tour each area 2 times throughout the scheduled pickup season.  Below you will find the schedule which advertises when DPU staff will be within your neighborhood picking up bagged leaves. If you aren’t sure which zone your home is in, please search your address on our collection zone map.

Bagged Leaf Collection Dates: Zone A: Nov. 30-Dec. 6, Jan. 18-Jan. 31, Zone B: Dec. 7-Dec. 13, Jan. 25-Jan. 31, Zone C: Dec. 14-Dec. 20, Feb. 1-Feb. 7, Zone D: Nov. 9-Nov. 15, Jan. 4-Jan. 10, Zone E: Nov. 16-Nov. 22, Jan. 11-Jan. 17, Zone F: Call 727-8779 to request service.

Things to Know

  1. Bagged leaves should be on the curb or the edge of the road by 7:00 AM on Monday of your collection week.
  2. Our crews will make one pass down each street to collect bagged leaves.
  3. Our employees cannot enter your property to remove bags.
  4. Bags should only contain leaves; no garbage or other debris.
  5. No limit on the number of bags you may put out.
  6. We frequently collect on weekends.
  7. Please call our office at (804) 727-8779 for missed leaves or more information.

Fees

Bagged Leaf Collection is a FREE service for our residents.  There is no need for our residents to call Customer Service to request a pick up, unless you live in the F area on the map.

Bagged Leaf Service

To have your bagged leaves removed, please place them on the County’s right of way in front of your home by 7:00 AM on Monday of your collection week and we will pick them up when we are in your area.  Our crews will make one pass down each street to collect bagged leaves.
