The County of Henrico participates in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) programs funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The County advertises a notice of funding availability and encourages organizations to submit proposals for the use of these funds, consistent with the 2025-2030 Five-Year Consolidated Community Development Plan. Henrico County administers these funds and facilitates the application process through the Department of Community Revitalization. The next application cycle for Program Year 2027-2028 opens in January 2027.
All applicants are required to include a federal UEI (unique entity identifier) in their application. The UEI can be obtained from sam.gov. Applicants are strongly encouraged to register for a UEI or verify that they have an active UEI well before the application deadline.
