Henrico taps Tretina for chief of staff position

Henrico County has appointed Cari M. Tretina as chief of staff to the county manager, effective Saturday, Oct. 12.

Tretina currently serves as director of administration for Henrico’s Division of Fire, a position she has held since April 2017.

Health Department to offer free flu vaccinations in October

Flu vaccinations will be offered from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7 at the Health Department East Clinic, 1400 N. Laburnum Ave., and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 at the Mount Vernon Adult Education Center, 7850 Carousel Lane.

Henrico to acquire 1,184-acre Wilton Farm on James River

Henrico kicks off construction on cricket field at Deep Run Park

Henrico County held a ground-breaking ceremony today to commemorate the start of construction on a cricket field at Deep Run Park. Crews started site work this month on a $648,900 project to renovate three existing multipurpose fields to create a cricket field that includes a clay pitch and meets the standards of the International Cricket Council. The playing fields are currently terraced, with each measuring 180 feet by 330 feet.
